HI! My name is Rodney Van Sr. and I am the founder of VanSports. I have been involved in the Sporting Goods industry for more than 20 years. It has always been my desire to own my own business and, in 1999, that dream became a reality with "VanSports". A Little About Me:

I received my start in sports while attending R.A. Millikan High School in Long Beach, CA. I was blessed with enough talent to receive a scholarship to San Diego State University.  While at SDSU, I earned all conference honors 3 straight years as a National Caliber Long Jumper (26-3" W). I coached High School Track & Field for 8 years at Monte Vista High School in Spring Valley, CA and I am currently a Track coach at Steele Canyon High School in Rancho San Diego, CA.  I had the opportunity to be an instructor for the USATF coaching program as well as run a number of sports clinics in the local area. Sports have been a passion of mine for a very long time, especially Track & Field. Being involved in sports for all these years, have given me a deep appreciation for hard work and dedication, which has translated into business success.
